History and Culture
Tirazis, Shirazis, and Shiraz are different names of Shiraz, which according to historical documents and Elamite stone tablets, show that this city, also known as Tiraz, was built in 2000 BC. The town was moved to its current location during the Umayyads, with Abu Nasr Fort being its first location.
Shiraz is the capital of Fars province. This city is one of the oldest and most unique cities in Fars province and has been the capital of the dynasties in Fars province several times throughout history.
In the 13th century, the city developed so much that many scientists and artists came together and made this city the center of Iranian culture and art. Of course, most of the development of this city is related to the reign of Zandieh, and most of the historical monuments left in the city are from this dynasty.
Shiraz is known as the city of gardens, the city of Persian poetry and literature, wine (in the past and before the Islamic Revolution), flowers and nightingales, the land of lovers, the town of Orange blossoms, and the city of secrets.
Shirazis speak Persian and Shirazi dialects. The use of Shirazi dialect is more common in old neighborhoods, and other people use this dialect less.
Shiraz always attracts many tourists due to its many historical, cultural, religious, and natural attractions.

Best time to visit Shiraz
Shiraz is located in the central part of Fars province. This area has a hot and dry climate in summers and a relatively temperate climate in winters.
The best time to visit Shiraz is April and May and Autumn.
