The ancient garden of Motevali Bashi commissioned by of Kerman governor, Fazlodin Gharebaghi(known as Biglarbeigi), was built in the period between 1250 and 1264 AH, during the reign of Mohammad Shah Qajar government Iran. The garden was built so that Motevali Bashi's could reside near Sah Nematollah Vali's mausoleum. The mentioned garden with the Shah Nematollah Vali complex has been registered in Iran National Monuments list in 10/15/1310 with registration code of 132.The complex above is now among the choices to become registered as a UNESCO world heritage.
In 2012, Motevali Bashi garden has been repaired and is now considered as the first ancient residence in the Kerman province. This was done by efforts of Kerman Province Institute of development and civil engineering, and Iran cultural heritage, handicrafts, and tourism organization. We hope the change in the functionality of the garden be regarded as one of the most historic services that government of Iran has given to its people.
